Heartfulness Workshop – A compassionate Way of Mindful Living

Heartfulness is deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture that cherishes gratitude, acceptance and humility, and supported by recent scientific evidence.

During this workshop, we will engage in exercises that enhance mindfulness, com- passion and gratitude, similar to those done in Stanford’s Heartfulness classes.

About the Instructor

Stephen Murphy-Shigematsu, Ed.D. is a psychologist and lecturer at Stanford University, former professor at the University of Tokyo, President of Nichibei Care. He is the author of When Half is Whole: Multiethnic Asian American Identities, and soon to be published From Mind- fulness to Heartfulness: Transforming Self and Society with Compassion.

This is a fundraising event for NichiBei Care, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to promote the mental health of those who have ties to Japan, regardless of their ethnicity or nationality.  Email us at nichibeicareinfo@gmail.com
